Overview
Curriculum

A 3-week course starting Thu Oct 30 @ 7:00 pm (EVENING)

Online and Recorded

What is the mind made of—and why is it so difficult to quiet?

In this focused and insightful course, Prem Sadasivananda guides you through Sutras 4–11 of the Sadhana Pada from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, where the sage outlines the different vrttis (thought waves) that shape our perception, identity, and spiritual progress.

Each week will illuminate key psychological and spiritual concepts, including:

  • The five types of vrttis—correct knowledge (pramana), misconception (viparyaya), imagination (vikalpa), sleep (nidra), and memory (smrti)
  • Our deep-seated tendency to identify with thoughts, and how this clouds the true Self
  • How to begin disentangling from mental activity through awareness, discrimination, and yogic tools
